The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commercial Service) locatedin the U.S. Embassy in Seoul has had, for more than 10 years, one of Korea’smost successful and intensive internship programs. We have graduated over 200interns from our internship program. Our six (6) month internship program is longer than most inKorea. It provides interns months, not weeks, of real-worldinternational business exposure and experience that prepares youngprofessionals for a future job. While we are not able to provide financial remuneration, wedo provide a meaningful, constructive, positive working environment that willassist you as you prepare for professional employment. As well, we provide a letter of recommendation at thecompletion of your internship. This letter will carefully reflect your work andaccomplishments. Qualifications: 

•Undergraduate orgraduate students (대학생이나 대학원생);

•Strong computer skills; 

•Fluency in both Koreanand English; 

•Some international orcommercial experience is highly recommended but not mandatory/required; 

•Ability to: work inteams; learn quickly; and multi-task under pressure; 

•Pass an interview paneland a three-month background security investigation; 

•Maturity. 

Remuneration: This position is voluntary andunpaid.  

Timelinefor 2017 Summer to Fall Applicants (Starts June – Dec., 2017) 

We are looking for 11 full-time interns for a minimum of 24-weeks (6 months) fromJune to Dec.,2017.  

•January 31, 2017 – All applications must be received for the2017 Summer - FallInternship. 

•Feb. 1 - 28, 2017 – CS reviews all applications; Interviewsconducted, and finalists selected.

•Korean and Englishfluency levels: Spoken, Written and Reading.  

•Previous work orinternship experience if any.

•Citizenship: Most of ourinterns are Korean citizens.
